Pitch journalists with snail mail

- A common growth technique is to get a mention from a journalist. However, everyone is reaching these journalists the same way, whether it's sending them a tweet or sending them an email, which means these journalists are drowning in electronic communication. So, if you want to stand out try something different. Mail something to the office of who you're trying to get in front of. It might be a big box. It might be a large envelope. It might be a colored envelope. Whatever. People love opening up things that come in the mail. At the very least, you'll get noticed. Now you want to make sure in the mail you include a card that indicates what you're asking for as well as your contact information. You also should include your product or a pamphlet about your service. This is an excellent way to cut through the noise and potentially meet a new journalist.
