- If you do a lot of pitching via email or LinkedIn, you can take it up a notch if you take the time to record an individualized video. You'll set up a script, get yourself near some nice, natural, soft light, hit record on your computer and leave, essentially, a video voice mail. You can then upload that video to YouTube and share a link. Transparency goes a long way in marketing these days and so you might want to say something to the effect of, hey, I was searching for folks in your industry and your LinkedIn profile really jumped out to me. I don't know much about your company but I spent a few minutes on your website and learned that you do XYZ. Look it's no surprise I'm selling something. I've got a product that does ABC and I really think I could help you with XYZ. Can we talk tomorrow at two?
