- Not everyone has the charm and personality to carry off a solo podcast week after week. That's why having a co-host like I do or guests to offer insights can be a powerful draw. But how do you find the right people and once you find them how do you get them ready to record? Start looking for guests internally with staff members who have a unique perspective on your business, customers you want to celebrate or even suppliers with a great story to tell. For instance Audrey Totsy could interview the owner of an organic flour mill. You can also find industry experts like people quoted in trade publications, conference presenters or influencers with large social media followings. When you're reaching out to guests it helps if you know or have a connection to them but if not do your research by visiting their website or blog, reading their publications, checking their LinkedIn profile and following them on social media.
