- You've done it, you landed an interview for a marketing role and it's time to prepare how you present yourself to the employer in person. In addition to bringing your portfolio, multiple copies of your resume, and dressing the part. How well you research and practice for an interview determines how effective you'll be at expressing who you are what values you're offering and why you're the right match. Begin by researching more about the role, the team members you're meeting with and the company as a whole. Beyond reading the job description, look to see what employees in this specific position have listed on their LinkedIn profile and if this role doesn't exist yet at the organization, review the profiles of staffers in similar roles at a competitor.
