- The physical presentation of prices matters a lot. I'm going to ask you a series of quick questions and I want you to notice your first reactions. Don't overthink it, just let your honest primal brain response serve up a quick judgment. Which of these is the bigger price? The one on the left. It's physically larger and more imposing and is literally the bigger price. All that I did to create the equivalent one on the right was to strip out the extraneous cents, comma and period. And you can complain all you want that your rational brain knows that they're the same, but I challenge you to go back to your original primal reaction a few seconds ago.
