- The number one way for any event to be a failure is for no one to show up or for everyone to feel like leaving early. Event design is about creating an easy experience that's so valuable and so pleasant that people don't want to miss out on a single moment. But we need to think about how online events differ from in-person gatherings. Normally your audience is immersed in your event design as soon as they walk in the door.
