- Product marketers compared to almost every other job role needs to work with the most stakeholders across departments, teams, and roles. We tend to be the conduit between teams. The closest relationship for a product marketer is commonly product, not marketing, even though product marketers often report directly to marketing, sales, or operations. We need to be thick as thieves with the product managers because we help supply the information and research necessary to inform the product roadmap and are the stakeholders who translate the roadmaps to a go-to-market.
