- [Instructor] You probably a great idea for a podcast when you began researching your audience. Maybe you've even got the name. Even so, it's important to ask two questions. What's your show about and why would your customers listen? Once you have the answers, you can begin to develop your theme and format. Start by writing a sentence or two that describes the purpose of your podcast. That is the benefits from your customers' POV. For instance, the purpose of Inside PR is to look at the state of the PR industry, explore topical and provocative issues, discuss listener comments and even interview a guest or two. Audrey's purpose for Baking Disasters could be to provide fun and entertaining tips on how to master the art of baking by learning from your flops.
