- [Instructor] An SEO-friendly website needs to properly use several basic HTML tags. Now I'm assuming at this stage in our SEO education, you're already familiar with these basic tags, but I do want to briefly review the common mistakes I see when leveraging these tags, as well as give you a few pointers so you can make sure they're properly implemented and well optimized. The tags that we're going to look at are title, meta description, and heading. The title tag is in the head section of your HTML document. And this has a direct impact on your rank. So a few key pointers here for you. Your title tag needs to be relevant to the page. You should look to front-load your keywords. Keep it shorter than 50 characters and know your audience. Let's dig in a little deeper on these. So you want to place your keywords at the beginning of a title tag.
