Social media to build your database

- [Instructor] How to Grow Your Database with Social Media. Social media is the most efficient way to build your community and connect with a large audience. You have the ability to showcase your business and grow your database with people who are actively consuming digital content. Social media is called social for a reason. If you expect people to interact with you, you also need to make an effort to interact with others. Show your community you genuinely care. I'm going to walk you through four different strategies to help grow your database with social media by building your community and branding yourself as the go-to expert in your field. First, you can promote a lead magnet. An irresistible lead magnet will immediately grab your buyers' attention and deliver real value to them. It's a resource that quickly helps solve a problem or answer a burning question. When you post about your lead magnet, offer a tip in your post that hooks people so they want to click on your lead magnet, sign up, and learn more. Next, you can host a giveaway that's relevant to your target demographic. Giveaways are a fun opportunity to get your audience excited about your business, because everyone loves winning. Make sure your prize is something your audience is excited to win. You don't want to host a giveaway with a prize no one cares about, and you also don't want to host one that's too general, because you won't attract qualified leads. For example, if you give away a $500 gift card, a lot of people will enter just to get the prize, but they aren't necessarily qualified leads. However, if you give away something specific to your business, such as products, services, books, or items related to your industry, you're more likely to attract people who are interested in working with you. The third thing you can do is simply encourage current subscribers to share your newsletter on social media. Make sharing features and buttons easily accessible on your newsletter. Create unique content that can't be found elsewhere, so people have a reason to share. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask your subscribers to share. The last thing I want to mention is to include calls to action on your social media. You can do this on individual posts, photos, in videos that you share. You can also include them in your bio and about sections. Every site you use, whether it's LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram, should have a goal for users to complete. The goal can be filling out a contact form, giving you a call, or in this case, signing up for your newsletter. Sometimes you can include incentives for users to complete a call to action, like a discount, contest entry, or free gift, such as your lead magnet. Keep in mind that the most important element for social media success is being consistent with how you show up and interact with people. It's better to post three days a week consistently every week, rather than to post every day for seven days, and then not post again for three weeks. Dedicate time each week to interact with other people's content. The more you grow and nurture your social media connections, the more you'll be able to grow your database.
