- A great way to get your message out without having to do a lot of the work is to inherit someone else's audience. They've already done the work to build it, but they need to maintain it and it can take a lot of content to maintain an audience. Which means that those that have an active audience are often hungry and desperate for more content. So if you're able to show up at their door with content that doesn't include a hard ask, it's likely that they'll use it and this is often done through the idea of guest posting. One challenge here is that guest posting doesn't get a lot of traction because instead of pitching the actual piece, you're simply pitching an idea and ideas don't mean much. They can't do much with an idea and there's all of this work that has to happen to take that idea to fruition.
