Use SEO research to generate ideas for your blog content
- [Brad] Hey, and welcome to another episode of weekly marketing tips. I'm Brad Batesole. And today I want to show you a great way on how to gather ideas for your next blog article. So you're trying to come up with content to write, and often the best content is going to answer the questions that your target market has. So the first thing that you can do is go to Google.com and simply start typing in the question, how do I? And here, Google's going to suggest the most popular searches that relate to this topic. Now it's starting with how do I? But I could include more key words specific to what I offer in my product or service to then get suggestions around that. Now this can take a lot of time. A better resource is to check out answerthepublic.com. Here, you can simply enter in a key word and get content suggestions. Let's say, for example, I have a blog about credit cards. I'll type credit cards and choose Enter. And what's going to happen is they're simply going to identify all the different methods and ways that people ask questions about this topic. Here we can see that these root terms, when, how, who, why, what, can, and where, and now we can see the top searches for these various queries. If you scroll down, you can select the Data view, and you can see it in a great list, again, by these various root questions. As you scroll down, you'll see there's all kinds of different suggestions. There's comparisons and then alphabeticals, where they've simply typed your search term plus a letter A, a letter B, a letter C, and saw what was suggested. There is a ton of data that you can mine here, and I think it's a great place to gather new ideas for content on your next blog article. Thanks for checking in this week. As always, I'd love to hear from you, so follow me on Twitter, the app, Brad Batesole, or connect with me on LinkedIn, and let me know what you think about this week's episode. I'll see you next week.
