The truth is a simple line or bar graph will do the trick 75% of the time. It's very, very rare you need anything else but when you do, it's good to know what's available and what works best. Here's a quick list. Tables. Use these to deliver raw, unfiltered data. I've got no problem with tables but assume that once you're drilling down to this level of detail, you've probably lost the attention of the highest level decision makers. They don't have time to dig through this kind of information. Stick with true visualizations, graphic representations of data whenever possible.
