The hidden in plain sight secret to making ads profitable

- The algorithms on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are always changing, the costs are always increasing, and day by day the competition is getting tougher. So how the heck do you make advertising profitable? In short, the answer is, popcorn. Have you been to the movies recently? The tickets nowadays cost a small fortune but that's not where the theaters make most of their profit. Once you show up to the theater, then they sell you candy, soda, and popcorn for three X to 10 X the cost. This is the difference between losing money and making money with advertising. If all you have is a product, then you don't have a business. If you're watching this video and thinking, but Billy, I have nothing to upsell. Well here's a little cheat sheet to help you figure out how to turn your ads into profit-producing machines using creative upsells, and I'll give you some examples here. The upsell of doing it faster. Think Amazon Prime, you can either pay to get something delivered in two to five days, or you can pay extra to get it overnighted. Or the upsell of doing it better. Think attorneys, a more experienced attorney is going to cost you more than an attorney that's just getting started. Doing it for me. Think IKEA, you can buy the table and try to assemble it yourself, or you can pay them to set it up for you, which is what I recommend every time, cause it's extremely hard to do. Doing it with me, think group coaching. Not everyone can afford a personal trainer, but maybe they can afford a group training class. Doing it alone. Selling something like an ebook or an online course on how to get the most out of your product or service. Doing it more frequently. Think the gym, charge more money if someone wants to use your product daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. And lastly, this is one of my favorites that everybody forgets, is promoting others. You don't always have to sell your own products or services, maybe you can sell someone else's that compliments yours. It may be their gym but those aren't their supplements. Remember, there's never a lack of something to sell, only a lack of creativity. So stop obsessing about selling the movie ticket, and sell the popcorn.
