Creating folds in the blanket

- [Instructor] To make our piece of fabric look more interesting we're going to fold it and let it fall over our couch. So a few concepts we need to know before we can get to the actual folding of this fabric. The first thing is, just as any other 3D geometry, fabrics inside of Marvelous Designer have a normal direction. That means that we have a proper side to be the outside of our piece. So you can see that if I deselect this that we have a darker side and that is the opposite to the normal side. So the bright side is always the proper normal direction. You need to pay attention to that, because when you're rendering it's going to look better if you have the proper side facing outwards. So usually when we're doing complex draping or folding of our fabrics, we're going to do all of that process on the floor, since we won't have as much collision to worry about.
