- Now that we have our sample chopped up, we do have the option of going in and replaying the sample exactly how it was, and this can be useful if you want to just control the tempo of the sample, but I find it more fun to go in and rearrange, so as I have my chops, I'll just go in and play them in different sequences just to see what catches my ear. (dreamy electronic music) So, even as I'm going through and playing, I'm hearing different things, and I may want to add more chops, so... I'm hearing after that... I want something a little lower, so... (dreamy electronic music) So I feel like I heard that one as I was playing these two together, I just felt like something should be a little lower after this. (electronic music) And this transition... While it could work, I feel like this sounds better. (electronic music) Just go through and shorten up my slices a little bit. Just trying to tap out the tempo. Let's see if we can get a pattern going. Try two bars and see how that works…
