2D pockets
making 2D pockets in Mastercam for SolidWorks. Now you can see here up on the screen I've got a part, and I've already done a 2D high speed roughing routine using dynamic milling. Now you can see that on the pocket on the right hand side, which is right over here. Now we also have two more pockets that we're going to be machining, So the first thing I want to do is machine this pocket over here, because I've roughed out most of the material, but I did leave some material on the walls of that pocket as well as on the floor, so we need to come back and finish machine that pocket. Okay, so what I want to do is come up here to 2D Toolpaths, come down to Pocket, right, and my selection is going to be this bottom floor here. Click okay, and it's going to jump into the dialogue box here, and you can see we've got a regular pocket here. This is going to go back and forth and clean the bottom of that pocket. Alright, as far as the tool, let's go ahead and choose that same half-inch endmill…
