Helix bore milling
- [Instructor] Another great operation inside of Master Cam is the ability to do helical boring. Now I'm a huge fan of helical boring, it's great way to make holes in your part. Now, especially if you're doing prototyping work, you might not want to load a whole bunch of different tools. If you have a certain size drill you want to load for different sized holes, you can add up to a whole bunch of different tools and it takes a lot of time. Instead, you can actually use an end mill to do helical boring and create any size hole you pretty much want. And we're going to show you how to do that right now. So the first thing I want to show is we're going to be doing this hole here. We've done this a couple different ways now and this time we're going to be doing helical bore. So come up here to point circle tool path, come down here to helix bore. Now let's go ahead and choose the bottom of the hole, click okay.
