- [Narrator] In this video I'm going to show you how to use the Slot Milling toolpath inside of Mastercam for SolidWorks. The first thing I want to do is head up here to 2D Toolpaths. Click over there, come down here to Slot Mill. Click on that one there. As far as my selection I'm going to choose the bottom of this pocket right here. Click right there. Click OK. And we are in Slot Mill. You can see here we've got that one chain already selected over here. The tool. I'm going to go ahead and use Tool 4 which is the same tool we've been using quite a bit. The cut parameters. I'm going to switch this from Computer over here to Wear. And as far as stock to leave I'm going to make those both zero. So we're doing a finish pass as well. Click down here on Rough and Finish. So we're going to be roughing this with an entry ramp and the angle's going to be three degrees here. My roughing stepover, you can adjust this here.
