Accentuating object edges with rim lights

- [Instructor] For our dramatic studio lighting setup we've got a key light or the primary source of illumination. We can see that if we start the interactive production rendering in the camera view. Now that looks pretty good, but we can definitely improve on this by adding rim or back lights to accentuate the edges of the model, and differentiate it from its background. So that we can see that well, let's just disable the key light. I'll select it, go over to the channel box, and set its intensity to a value of zero. And now we can add a point light. Go over to the Create menu, choose lights, Point Light, and it's created at the origin. Let's rename it, it's still selected. I'll call it rim_light_1_point, and press Enter. Now let's move that light so we can actually get some illumination on the scene. Go over to the side view and just dolly back with Alt and right mouse button, get back far enough so we can see where…
