Add color in 3ds Max
- [Instructor] Once we have our models built we can start to add color and texture. So, let's take a look at how to add color through materials in 3ds Max using the Arnold renderer. Now, 3ds Max has a number of different ways to render scenes. If we click on this Render Setup button you'll see we have this Render Setup window, and we have what's called a Production rendering mode, Iterative, and ActiveShade mode. So, I'm going to go to Production rendering mode, and we're going to make sure that that's set to Arnold, which is the preferred renderer for 3ds Max out of the box. Now, you may have other renderers available, but let's go ahead and use Arnold. Now, we also have what's called ActiveShade mode, and that's what renders in the viewports, and we want to, again, make sure that that's set to Arnold. Now, once we have that, we can click close. At this point, we want to create a material that we can apply to our character.…
