Add color and textures in Cinema 4D
- [Instructor] Now, let's add some color and texture to our objects. We do this using materials. Materials determine everything from the color of the object, the texture, as well as shininess. Now, let's start off with this character's helmet. If I select it, you'll see in the bottom we have just one material in the scene and that's called Lambert. Now, we want to create our own material, so let's go ahead and hit create new material. When I do that, it creates this material and you'll see it over here in the attributes manager. Now, if I click on this basic button, it will give us the basic properties of this material. Now, one of the main properties is the name of the material. This material's called Mat, but let's go ahead and give it a little bit more of a descriptive name. Now, this is the racer character, so I'm going to type "Racer" in here. Now, if we want we can change what additional parameters we want to work…
