- We've got the basics of a tech illustration set up using the AI tune shader and contour rendering. Let's see what we have so far. Go into the main menus and choose Arnold. Render. And when that updates we can see we've got a very rough approximation of a line drawing. Let's improve on that. We'll make sure that the IPR, or Inter Production Rendering, is actually running. And let's now go into the hyper shade and select the AI tune node, and let's examine the options in edge detection. Right now, we're not getting any edges interior to each object. We're only getting silhouettes around each object, and that's because the default edge detection angle threshold is one hundred and eighty degrees. If we reduce that angle threshold, then more and more of the object will render contours. If the angle between two adjacent faces is greater than the angle threshold, then a contour line will be drawn. And so with…
