Blocking out footsteps
- So now we've gotten a sense for how much the character needs to move in order to hit his mark. So let's go ahead and use this information to block out some footsteps. So, first thing I'm going to do is actually go into a different viewport. Right now I'm in the Camera viewport, and that's locked down. So I really can't tumble it or move it. So I'm going to go into a perspective view here which gives me a lot more freedom of motion. So, now I'm going to start moving the character around. So I'm going to start off with his foot, and I'm going to move it forward. Now I calculated about 14 units for each step in order to move him at the proper rate. But he's also going to have that jump which is a little bit faster. So I'm actually going to knock this down a little bit to somewhere around, oh let's say around 12. So I'm going to go ahead and actually just type this in as a round number. And one of the reasons I'm doing this is because I have an exact number which I can use to calculate…
