Cleaning up the model
- [Instructor] As we saw in the previous movie, we need to set up the tessellation options for our CAD document in order to get good results. And we've done that, but despite our best efforts, we see that there's some issues with the geometry here. So let's repair that damage. Click in the Perspective view to give it focus and maximize that view by tapping the space bar. And the first thing we'll notice is that some of the surfaces are reversed. Their surface normals are inverted. So everything here that's not rendering properly, that's showing up as black, has flipped surface normals. Now we can check if that's the case by turning on two-sided lighting just for a moment. We go into the viewport menu and go to Lighting, Two-Sided Lighting. Now we see that the geometry looks okay and that explains to us that, in fact, the surface normals are reversed. Okay, so switch that back off again. And just select all of the objects…
