Compositing materials with layered shader

- [Instructor] To combine texture maps, use a layered texture node as we saw in the previous movie. To combine entire material shader networks, use a layered shader node. I've got two standard service materials here. Dancer bronze weathered and dancer bronze gold semi-gloss. I'm going to combine those with a layered shader and use a mask to determine where each of those will appear on the surface of the model. All right, I'll push this graph over with the middle mouse button and resize the window to give myself a little bit more space. We'll want to view the results in the Arnold RenderView because the viewport does not have good support for the layered shader node. So I go up in the main menu and choose Arnold, render, and that'll render the perspective viewport. Let's create our layered shader. In the Hypershade menus choose create, materials, layered shader.
