Create hierarchies in Cinema 4D
- [Instructor] We now have all the parts of our character assembled, but we don't have them connected together. So for example, if I were to select the lower part of this character and move it around, the upper parts of the character would not follow along. Same goes for the head, if I move the head, I'd expect the helmet to move along, but it's not. So we can connect these together using what are called hierarchies. Now these are set up in the object editor, on the right hand side of the screen. Now as you've seen before, each object has an entry in this object editor, and we can use this to create a hierarchy. So if I were to left-click on the torso, you can see that as I move this up and down, I get this little arrow that goes from sideways to down. Now when the arrow is down that means I'm going to put it underneath whatever object I'm hovering above, so I'm going to go ahead and left-click on the torso, drag above…
