Creating a Substance node for parametric mapping

- [[Instructor] Substance, is a parametric texture mapping application, currently owned by Adobe. And there's a substance plugin for Maya, which allows you to load substance definition files, and create parametric textures. You'll want to install the substance plugin when you install Maya, and you may need to enable the plugins. So let's do that. Go to the windows menu, to settings preferences, plugin manager, scroll down near the bottom. You're looking for the substance plugins, and the apply to all section, and I'll click loaded, and also auto load. So it will automatically load the next time I launch Maya. And then close the plugin manager. Now we have a substance menu, in the main Maya menus. We can go into the substance settings, and for example, increase the default resolution, to 1024. Close that window. To use substance, we'll create a substance node, which in turn will load a substance definition file. Let's…
