Creating a noise texture
- [Instructor] In the last movie, we created a ramp texture to provide the lines for this woodcut shader we're building. We want to vary the width and character of these lines, and we can use a noise node for that. I've got the Arnold RenderView running in interactive production rendering mode. Let's go over to the hypershade and create a noise texture. Press the tab key to create a new node and type in noise, choose noise texture. Let's select that noise node and we'll rename it, we'll call it ink noise. Likewise, with its associated place 2D texture node, select that and rename it as well, and we'll call it ink place 2D texture. Let's connect that noise node to the surface shader. Take the out color of the noise node connected to the out color of the surface shader, and we see the results here in our Arnold RenderView.
