Creating a selection pass
- [Instructor] Let's do one more render layer and that's what I call a Selection layer. Now this is not really something that we render but it's more of a utility that we use to be able to select parts of the image, easily. Sometimes it's hard to select out different parts of the image to get the effect that you want, so a selection layer can make it a lot easier. And what we're basically going to do is apply bright colors to different parts of the image. So we're going to do this in Render Setup. So I'm going to create one more render layer. I'm going to call that Select. And we're going to add in a collection, just lets call it All. And so I'm going to create a collection with everything and then I'm going to create additional collections that have different overrides. So let's go ahead and highlight this, and this is basically everything in the scene. So now I want to mask out parts of the scene. So let's say, something…
