Exposing Bifrost parameters in Maya
- [Instructor] As we've seen, we can control the Bifrost graph parameters by selecting nodes and changing their values in the parameters pane over here. But for various reasons, we will need to expose certain parameters to Maya, and we do that through the input nodes. We've currently got two input nodes we've got one for the mesh object, and another empty input node that just came along when we created the graph in the first place. What I want to do is expose the displacement amount to Maya so I'll be able to change the displacement amount from the channel box or attribute editor. Currently, I've got a value node that's driving the amount of displacement. So I can change that value to four or whatever and we can see how that's affecting the displacement amount. Let's expose that to Maya and it's as simple as dragging from a port to the input node and creating a new port there. So now, instead of this value node driving…
