Extruding arms

- At this point, we've modeled the character's face and body and as you can see, he looks kind of like a giant potato. So, let's go ahead and give him arms and legs so he has some appendages. So I'm gonna start off by turning on my reference and selecting my model. Now, we're going to start by extruding the arms and we're gonna do that in this area, here, so we're gonna do an extrude right around here. But before we do that, we do need a little bit of extra detail so I want to put one edge loop below the mouth and that's again, to give it a little bit of space between the mouth and the top of the arm and this will give us a little more room when we UV map the character. So, I'm going to start by inserting an edge loop and I'm going to insert one right about here. So, one that just touches the top of the arm and then I need one for the middle of the arm so I want to have an edge loop moving down the side of the arm as well as the top of the arm so I'm going to put an edge loop there…
