- So we now have this basic belt drive system here created using a wire deformer. So if I rotate this belt you can see how it moves along the wire. As you can see, we're getting stretching here, and that's because this curve is not equidistant. So if we go into Control Vertices here, you'll see that we have this one is really far apart from this CV, whereas these two are a little bit closer together. And that stretching of the curve creates stretching in the geometry. So for a simple belt, this system might work, but let's go a little bit more sophisticated. So I'm going to go and just select this curve and delete it. So we're going to start from scratch. So we're going to create two curves. We're going to create one curve that's the shape of the pulley, and then another one for the wire deformer. And then we're going to deform the wire itself so that it's the shape of the pulley. And hopefully that'll keep everything in place so that we don't get stretching. So the first thing we…
