How to use the exercise files

- [Instructor] If you have access to the exercise files, you can download the files from the exercise files tab on the main page for this course. You will find three exercise files folders to download. In the Exercise Files 01 folder, you're gonna find two separate folders, one being the advanced texturing images which carries all of the reference images by chapter for this particular course. The advanced texturing folder is the Maya project folder for all of the Maya scenes. In the Exercise Files 02 folder, you're gonna find all of the Mudbox files and any auxiliary files that are needed for your Mudbox scenes. The Exercise Files 03 folder is gonna contain all of the Substance Painter files and was compressed using 7zip. You can download 7zip for free at www.7zip.org for Windows, and if you're on a Mac, you can go to kekaosx.com to download a compressor that can unzip 7zip files. One more thing I'd like to say about the exercise files is that before you open any of the Maya files, please make sure to set your Maya project. Here in Maya, we're gonna go to File, Set Project, migrate to the desktop, Exercise Files 01, and choose the advanced texturing folder. Once you click Set and you open any of your Maya files, all of your textures will load correctly as if you were following along with the lessons. If you don't have access to these exercise files, you can certainly follow along using your own files.
