- [Instructor] We've created an Arnold standard surface material and we've mapped its base color with this Maya logo and we've got that applied onto this robot arm part, but we're not quite finished, because we're not seeing any of the painted metal material. What we want to do here is superimpose this Arnold standard surface material over the painted metal standard surface material that we created earlier. To do that we will use an Arnold layer shader. Open up the Hypershade window and for whatever reason the graph that I created is not being displayed, so I can just rearrange the graph and we can get in a little bit closer here. We've got a decal material and we've also got a paintedMetal material. And we want to superimpose the decal material over the paintedMetal material. Let's create an Arnold layer shader. Create, Arnold Shader Surface, AI Layer Shader. And we just rearrange that a little bit. Let's rename…
