- [Instructor] Another way that light affects the scene is through reflections and refractions. Now this is the bouncing of light through the scene and this can be accomplished by using ray traced renderers. So here we have a simple scene, and if we were to just render it, you would see that well we just get the solid colors. But as soon as we add reflections, we can see a lot more. We can see the reflections of the environment, as well as the other objects in the scene. Now when you do reflections, there are a number of settings you can use to affect how the reflections work. You can blur reflections and you can also control how many times the light bounces. So, this is a reflection with just one light bounce, but if we bounce it more, notice how there's a subtle difference here.
