Mapping the arms and hands
- Now let's move on to another part of the character. We're going to work on the hands and the arms, and let's go ahead and texture those. So, the arm and the hand are actually two kind of discreet structures. We've got a cylindrical shape for the arm, and then the hand is a little bit more complex. So, let's start off with the simple stuff. Let's do the arm, and I'm going to start in my Front Viewport, and let's select Faces. And I'm going to select the arm up to the wrist. So, basically just that arm. And, again, we'll just cylindrical map it, so I'm going to do Create UVs, Cylindrical Mapping, and when this comes up, you'll see that, well I get that Gizmo, but it's aligned vertically. So that cylinder is actually a vertical cylinder, not a horizontal one, so I need to align it with the proper axis. And, in this case, the axis is the Z-axis, so I'm going to type 90 degrees in Rotate Z, and now we've got that aligned. Now, if I want, I can stretch this, but, if you notice here, I…
