Modeling street fixtures

- One of the last major classes of objects we need to block out in our proxy are our major street fixtures. I'll start with my street lights because these are visually prominent. I've got other, we'll call them lesser street fixtures, like fire hydrants and lower signs. And I'm fairly confident that I can simply sprinkle through the finished model of those when they're ready. But I want to get my street lights in place so I have a good idea of the rhythm of them on my blocks. And I'll make a proxy, a very low res, of a cobra head street light to begin. A cobra head street light, as we look in our reference then, is a street light that comes out over the street, with a silhouette mimicking a cobra. I'll take a quick look at the reference imagery and see if I can get some ideas for it. Here's a good example of a cobra head street light. In this case, supporting additionally traffic lights on a wire. That street light is easily 30 or 40 feet tall. We can look up manufacturer's specs on…
