Options for node creation
- [Instructor] I'd like to begin by talking about the creation options for new nodes in the Hypershade. Maya gives us many options for creating nodes, we can do it in many ways. However there is a bit of an issue that can come up when creating new nodes, and that is that certain types of nodes such as cameras and lights, are going to be added to the shading network graph by default. And we usually don't want that. So let's see how we can create nodes, I'll open up the hypershade by clicking on its button on the status line. The most obvious way to create nodes is from the create panel. For example we can go to favorites Maya, and click standard surface. And that's going to create the node in the browser here, and it'll also graph that node or nodes. And we can zoom in on that a little bit, right-click in the graph and choose select all in graph from the marking menu, and then frame those nodes with the F-hotkey.…
