- [Narrator] Picking up where we left off in the last movie, regarding setup for the 3D paint tool in Maya. I've got a new scene file here, which is 03, 03 3D paint. And whenever you save a scene, which has any 3D paint texture in it, Maya is going to automatically create another folder and duplicate the texture. Let's investigate. I'll minimize Maya. Back in the project folder, and source images 3D paint textures. Now I've got another folder. And if we go in there, we've got a duplicate image. Every time you save your scene to a new file name, if a 3D texture exists in that scene, Maya will duplicate it to another disk file, and that's to maintain integrity so that every scene will have the right textures associated with it. But this is not really a very effective way of maintaining your disc footprint. You're going to actually use up a lot of space this way. My recommendation is when you're finished painting,…
