- [Instructor] When we model and add detail to a model, it's always best to add just enough detail to define the shape of the model. And this is because a more complex model has more detail to manage and it also demands more resources of the system. This is particularly important in gaming, where you need a very light model that can be interacted with. Now, let's take a look at this character here. If we take a look at him, you'll see that he has varying amounts of detail, depending upon the curvature of the surface. So where the curvature of the surface is tighter, he has more detail, and this is pretty logical if you think about how you want to sculpt a character. So you can see here around his armpits, as well as around his hips, he has much tighter detail, and that's because the curvature is tighter here.
