- [Instructor] So in this chapter, we're gonna take a look at some texturing techniques of using a program called Substance Painter. Now, Substance Painter is a program that deals with texturing in a slightly different way than we've seen thus far with PhotoShop and Mudbox. It actually textures everything that we see using procedural texture patterns, designed in a program called Substance Designer. Now there are a few things that we need to do. We need to set our models up in a certain way so that we can get the results that we're looking for in Substance. Now if we skip this step, we'll lose a lot of the power that Substance Painter has. So, what you'll see in our scene file is that I actually have two sets of identical geometry. I have a low res version that has UVs. So if we open up our UV editor, you can see, as we select our objects, that they all have UVs, so we have them broken up by objects.
