Rendering in Maya

- [Instructor] Once you have your cameras and your lighting in place, you can start to render. Now, for this scene we're going to render in the Arnold renderer. Now, for this we do need to set up Arnold in Maya. Now, when you're in Maya you can set up rendering by pressing this button, and that's called the Render Settings window. We can also find this under Window, Rendering Editors, Render Settings. Now this window controls everything about rendering. It controls what renderer you're using. In this case, it's defaulting to Maya software, but we want to change it to the Arnold renderer. Now when you do that, you notice how a bunch of other tabs show up. Now in this case, we're going to stay on the Common tab which is common to all renderers, and in this case we can give it a file name. We're not going to save out to a file, we'll just render in software. And then we can give it things such as a frame range if we're…
