- [Instructor] The Bifrost foam shape node and the liquid shape node are both the same type Bifrost shape. Arnold can generate a surface for the liquid at render time and the same goes for the foam. I can go down to the representative frame in the timeline like frame 125. The most important thing to know about foam is that it is composed of only particles. It has no volume data and it can only render as points. Or as a surface with a render component of particles. Foam is assigned a new AI standard volume shader by default. But ironically it cannot render as a volume directly. Again, it can render as points with a volume shader applied. If you want to get at that volume shader, you might not find it in the attribute editor, but we could find it in the outliner if we go to the outliner display menu and disable DAG objects only.
