- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at how to select objects in Blender 2.8. Now this has changed a lot since previous versions of Blender, so this will apply to Blender 2.8 and higher. Now selecting objects in Blender is very straightforward. All you have to do is left click on the object and it selects. Now you can also go over here to the outliner and select the object simply by left clicking on it. Now you can also select with a box, so if I have select box active, I can simply rubber band and draw a box around the objects I want selected. Now to deselect, all you have to do is the left click off of those objects, and anything that falls within or touches a box will be selected. Now if you want to select multiple objects, all you have to do is hold down the shift key and you can select as many objects you want.
