Setting up Arnold
- [Instructor] For this course, we are going to be using AutoDesk's Arnold renderer which is included in Maya so you should have that in your system. You may not have the plugin turned on so you'll want to go into windows, settings preferences, plugin manager. And just scroll down until you find mtoa.mll and then make sure that's loaded and I always click auto load because I'm always using Arnold. Now, once you have Arnold available, you should be able to set it as your default renderer. So if we go into render settings, you should see our render using and it should be on the Arnold renderer. If not, you can certainly set it to that. Now, we have a couple of tabs here that we can adjust, make sure that we're rendering the way that we want. Now the first one is the common tab and that's basically the image that we're creating or outputting. So, for this course, we're going to be doing a lot of test renders, but…
