- [Instructor] In the next few movies, we'll set up a more dramatic lighting effect. First we'll create a spotlight for strong directional illumination known as a key light. We'll also adjust the decay of the key light and add rim lights to accentuate the edges of the model. Let's first create our spotlight, or key light. I'm going to go up into the create menu and choose lights, spotlight, and it's created very small at the origin. And with it still selected, let's rename it. I'll call it key light spot, and press Enter. We want to make it larger on the screen. I don't recommend scaling it, it's better to increase its locator scale in its attributes. With that light still selected, open up the attribute editor with Control + A, go into the object display section, and in here you'll see locator scale, increase that up to a value of 10 centimeters, and now the light is large enough that we can see it and manipulate it.…
