- So now we've corrected the orientation of the panel, and it's always facing out as it goes around the path. The next step is to match the motion of the panel to that of the drum. Now, before we do that, let's take a look at how motion paths work. Here we have the conveyor belt panel and we also have the motion path. So if I click on this and go into the Channel box, you'll see that the U value of this motion path is being animated. And it goes from 0 at the beginning to about .5 in the middle to 1 at the end. And basically what it's doing is that number is showing you how far along the path the object has traveled. Now, this number has to be between 0 and 1. If you put in a number over or under, it will just go back to 0 or 1. So, if you put in 2, it's going to drop back down to 1. So this is important and we'll use this a little bit later. But first I want to just connect the two together. So I want to connect the motion of this drum to the panel. So the first thing we want to do…
