- [Narrator] When we work in a 3D application, we usually manipulate objects by moving them, rotating them, and scaling them. Now this is pretty straightforward. We can select an object, and we can move it. Now typically, we can move it along any one of the three axes. So, the red axis is typically the x axis. The green axis is y. And the blue axis is z. Now we can also move it in a freeform fashion. Or we can move it along a plane. Now some of this will depend on the software. Now we can also rotate objects, and again, we can rotate them along specific axes. Or we can rotate them freeform. Or we can rotate them perpendicular to the view. And scaling is very much the same as moving. We can scale in any one particular axis. Or, we can scale the whole object up or down. Now when we move and manipulate objects, there're times when we'll need to be very precise. And for that, we usually have a grid which we can use to…
