- [Instructor] As we saw in the previous movie, time step adaptivity gives us control over time sampling based on the velocity of particles relative to voxel size. Transport step adaptivity is an additional optimization that is computationally inexpensive compared to time step adaptivity. It's a good way to optimize the movement of particles. Let's take a look. From the outliner, select bifrost liquid properties container one. And view its adaptivity settings in the attribute editor. Time steps are global solver iterations, and each iteration includes several phases of calculation. The first is a voxelization phase. And this phase, mesh volumes and shells are sampled affecting the accuracy of fast moving colliders. Each time step also includes pressure and transport phases. The transport phase is when particle position is calculated. Transport steps are subdivisions within each time step.
